摘要: Brain tumors in infants including those diagnosed fetal age, newborns and under a year old represent less than 10% of pediatric nervous system present differently when compared with older children terms clinical traits, location histology. The most frequent finding is macrocephaly but non-specific symptoms can also be associated. prognosis usually poor depends on several factors. Surgery continues to the main option therapeutic strategies whereas role chemotherapy not yet well defined radiotherapy exceptionally undertaken. In view this situation, molecular characterization could assist providing options for these tumors. This review highlights recent advances diagnosis treatment brain particular focus landscape future applications.
