Obesity and lifestyle risk factors among an adult population in Legal Amazon, Mato Grosso, Brazil

摘要: Objective To evaluate the frequency of obesity and lifestyle risk factors in population Barra do Garcas, Legal Amazon. Methodology A randomized, transversal study with 305 adults both genders was performed. Weight, height, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, food dietary habits, smoking alcoholic consumption, practice physical activity, activity level were evaluated. Results Smoking consumption higher among men compared to women. Almost 60 % engaged leisure-time activities, whereas only 42.4 women practiced activity. Women mostly sedentary behavior such as watching television using computer use than men. Dietary daily intake fruits vegetables (65.9 51.5 %, respectively). Men more prone drink soft drinks However, 39.4 3.4 drank three or days per week. The prevalence overweight according (BMI) this study. 34.4 33.7 15.10 17.50% women, respectively, classified obese. Elevated values circumference found 35.35 70.73 Conclusion had abnormal values.
