摘要: Purpose. To develop and investigate lecithin based oil-water microemulsions as potential amphotericin B (AmB) delivery systems to evaluate their in vivo acute toxicity. Methods. AmB was added the microemulsion its location evaluated by partitioning studies UV-visible spectrophotometric analysis of drug. Both, non-lyophilized reconstituted were characterised assessed for stability. Single-dose toxicity studied on male albino Webster-derived CD-1 mice compared with Fungizone®. Results. The performed showed that intercalated interface a complex formed molecules. addition did not seem modify rheological properties original system, but had an effect particle size distribution. Lyophilization led oily cake, easily stable at conditions studied. proved LD50 4 mg kg−1 animal weight, 1 found Conclusions. Lyophilized appear be valuable terms easy low-cost manufacturing, stability safety formulations already market.
