摘要: Physical activity has been shown to be positively associated with cognitive health, but the mechanisms underlying benefits of physical on health are unclear. The present study simultaneously examined two hypotheses using structural equation modeling (SEM). depression-reduction hypothesis states that depression suppresses ability and alleviates dysphoric mood thereby improves ability. social-stimulation posits social contact, which is often facilitated by socially laden activities, functioning stimulating nervous system. Sedentary behavior in absence expected exert an inverse relationship through each these hypotheses.
