摘要: Polylactide (PLA) was melt blended with either polypropylene (PP) or a based elastomer (PBE, Vistamaxx) in an effort to improve its mechanical properties. An ethylene–glycidyl methacrylate–methyl acrylate terpolymer (PEGMMA, Lotader) utilized as compatibilizer through coupling the end groups of PLA. Graft copolymers formed enhanced adhesion between PLA and polyolefin phases lowered interfacial tension. The morphological, mechanical, rheological properties PLA/polyolefin compatibilized blends were investigated, exhibited substantial improvement elongation at break tensile toughness compared corresponding binary blends. remarkable efficacy PEGMMA reactive compatibilizing agent allows bridging two immiscible but important classes thermoplastics, polylactide polypropylene, production ductile PLA/PP blend materials.
