摘要: Limited or absent axial rotation of the mobile insert total knee prostheses could lead to high contact stresses and at bone-implant interface, which in turn might implant loosening. The aim this study was assess kinematics muscle activation their possible change over time patients with a highly congruent, mobile-bearing prosthesis. A prospective series 11 rheumatoid arthritis included participate fluoroscopic EMG study; only 7 completed study. Kinematic evaluations took place 7 months, 1 2 years post-operatively. Repeated measurements ANOVA linear mixed-effects model for longitudinal data were used compare differences between follow-ups. There are no significant changes rotations follow-up moments femoral component as well insert. remained followed from 0° until approximately 60° flexion. Diverging reversed translations seen during dynamic motions. Knee do not appear first 2 post-operative years. Reversed divergent increasing flexion indicate that soon congruency decreases, is longer forced certain position by moves self-imposed position. At lower angles, be obstructed congruent therefore able move freely. Therapeutic study, Level IV.
