摘要: Abstract Therapeutic efficacy of the plant-origin drugs depends on many aspects source drug like cultivation, collection, processing, storage and pharmaceutical preparations. Ayurveda advocates using Prashasta Bheshaja. Importance collection method along with structure house (Bheshjagara) is highlighted in Ayurveda. Aragvadh (Cassia fistula L. Caesalpinaceae family) considered as best for Mruduvirechna (mild laxative). Specific fruit pulp has been recommended Samhita but recent text Dravyaguna differs opinion regarding days burring pods pits filled sand. Therefore, an experimental study was designed to effect Aragvadha preliminary physicochemical parameters by putting pod under sand different time periods. Experiment carried out five samples, viz., sample A: non-buried pod; B: buried seven days; C: B kept one month a glass jar; fourteen D: C jar. Effect experiment also observed hardness pod, consistency pulp, organoleptic characters, total sugar, etc. The concludes that Cassia should be easy removal its pulp. A marked difference quantitative phytochemical value samples observed. In number increase, non-reducing sugar found decreased significantly. Only fully ripen collected are sufficient process.
