摘要: The aim of the present study was to analyse effect organic coating titanium implants on periimplant bone formation and bone/implant contact. Three types were used: (i) Ti6Al4V with polished surface (control 1) (ii) collagen 2) (iii) covalently bound RGD peptides. All had square cross-sections an oblique diameter 4.6 mm inserted press fit into trephine burr holes in mandibles 10 beagle dogs. five animals each evaluated after a healing period 1 month 3 months, during which sequential fluorochrome labelling performed. Bone by morphometric measurement newly formed around implant percentage After there only little contact, varying between 2.6 6.7% cortical 4.4 5.7% cancellous bone, no significant differences three implants. surfaces exhibited 26.5 31.2% contact respectively, while collagen-coated 19.5 28.4% these areas. Implants showed highest values 42.1% 49.7%, respectively. Differences as such not significant, but increase from months postoperatively group RGD-coated (P = 0.008 P 0.000). results this pilot thus provide weak evidence that peptides form dosage may alveolar process. therefore require further verification modified experimental setting.
