摘要: The artichoke, Cynara scolymus, is one of the most ancient plants grown in world, and its extracts, obtained from different parts plant (leaves, fruits roots), have been used as medicaments time immemorial. pharmacological therapeutic effects artichoke on liver had already well known 17th century. Modern studies started last century confirmed stimulating properties extracts gallbladder. ensuing wave research was initially focused patent liver-stimulating, diuretic choleretic exerted by preparations both animals man, then discovering such other hypolipemizing activity, antioxidant activity hypoglycemizing activity. This review enumerates significant that highlighted these properties. Complementary medicine information needs to be incorporated into clinical practice patient professional education, addition adequate education about proper nutrition.
