摘要: Temperature Gradient Zone Melting (TGZM) occurs when a liquidsolid zone is submitted to temperature gradient and leads the migration of liquid droplets or channels through solid, up gradient. TGZM has major influence on preparation initial solid-liquid interface during stabilization phase following directional melting an alloy at origin diffusion solute towards top part mushy zone. also causing dendrite secondary arms solidification, which can have significant impact micro-segregation pattern final microstructure. In this communication we report solidification experiment carried out European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble (France) Al4.0 wt.% Cu study dynamics induced by phenomenon equiaxed grain that nucleated front columnar structure. Based situ experimental observations obtained synchrotron X-ray radiography, dissolution bottom characterized measurements are compared with predictions theory diffusive regime.
