摘要: Meningitis may be the sole presenting sign of a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) fistula temporal bone. An eight-year-old boy suffering from recurrent meningitis was found to have bilateral severe cochlear dysplasia. Bilateral tympanotomies were performed, planning obliterate each vestibule. In right ear stapedectomy resulting in torrential 'CSF gusher' and difficulty packing CSF rhinorrhoea requiring revision surgery two episodes gram-negative bacterial complicated post-operative management, prolonged hospital stay. Subsequently, left managed different fashion, leaving stapes situ, with grafts placed seal oval window niche.
