摘要: Due to the heterogeneity of current terminal and network infrastructures, multimedia content needs be adapted specific capabilities these terminals devices. Furthermore, user preferences environment characteristics must also taken into consideration. The problem becomes even more complex by diversity types encoding formats. In order meet this applicable different coding formats, adaptation performed in a generic interoperable way. As response context MPEG-21, we present an approach which uses XML describe high-level structure resource way, i.e., how is organized, for instance layers, frames, or scenes. For purpose, schema XML-based bitstream syntax descriptions (generic Bitstream Syntax Descriptions gBSDs) has been developed. A gBSD can format independent Adaptation based on elementary transformation instructions formulated with respect gBSDs. These have separated from gBSDs use same adaptations, e.g., temporal scaling, SNR semantic adaptations. MPEG-21 framework, those adaptations steered preferences. result, it possible agnostic engines transform media bitstreams associated requirements imposed conditions, device capabilities,
