Isolation and Characterization of Ribonucleic Acid from Cerebral Cortex of Rat

摘要: Abstract Ribonucleic acid isolated from cerebral cortex of mature male and female rats was fractionated by chromatography on methylated albumin Kieselguhr columns or sucrose gradient centrifugation. Three principal fractions were obtained with analytical ultracentrifuge s20,w0 values 4, 17, 28. By comparison ribonucleic prepared purified rat brain ribosomes, the 17 S 28 shown to be predominantly ribosomal acid. Differences in base analyses between three small but significant. Compositions all markedly complementary G ≈ C A U.
