摘要: The development of new anticancer drugs has, throughout the history cancer chemotherapy, struggled with a fundamentally difficult problem, namely that biochemical differences between neoplasms and normal tissues are subtle ones. essence this problem was expressed in despairing analogy by participant at an early conference on chemotherapy1: “It is almost, not quite but as hard finding some agent will dissolve away left ear, say, yet leave right ear unharmed, so slight difference cell its ancestor”. Since time, much has been achieved chemotherapy without complete understanding unique features neoplasia, selectivity existing agents still leaves to be desired. Almost all clinical use owe their limited utility selective toxicity towards proliferating cells, and, consequence, toxic high rates turnover.
