摘要: The underlying pathology of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is complex and includes, besides amyloid beta (Aβ) plaque depositions neurofibrillary tangles, brain atrophy neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, impaired neurogenesis, vascular blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruptions, neurotransmitter disbalances, others. Here, we hypothesize that such pathologies can only be targeted efficiently through pleiotropic approaches. One interesting drug target the leukotriene pathway, which mediates various aspects AD pathology. Approaching this pathway at different levels with genetic pharmacological tools demonstrated beneficial outcomes in several vivo studies using mouse models AD. review current literature on signaling as a for development
