摘要: Extract The field of impact assessment has a long history learning from other related fields, particularly policy analysis and planning. One that so far received little attention in relation to sustainability is psychology, specifically the branch psychology seeks understand how humans fundamentally tackle thinking decision making. Given process involves difficult choices, wicked problems inherent trade-offs (Retief et al., 2013), understanding making obviously highly relevant. We suspect therefore that, although language might be alien readership, content this chapter bound have some resonance with most chapters book, should enrich within assessment. The need works, strategic environmental (SEA), been highlighted past by number authors, such as Kornov Thissen (2000), Nilsson Dalkmann (2001) Nitz Brown (2001). These authors introduced political decisionmaking sciences, main message being for SEA effective it must influence decisions, achieve learn works. go on introduce methodology which relies so-called ‘decision windows’ or ‘windows opportunity’ particular points where decisions are made can influenced.
