摘要: An improved laser diode assembly and a method of making such an are provided. The has substrate wherein channels formed to receive diodes. have inwardly tapering shape, with first side wall generally perpendicular the front surface second at angle wall. A metallic coating is provided over walls channels, break bottom channels. Laser bars mounted along each channel, conductive body as wire wedged between bar opposite tilted wires held in place by solder layer. Advantageously, this can be manufactured less stringent fabrication tolerances than known arrays.
