摘要: Objective: To evaluate the outcomes of research investment National Heart Foundation Australia (NHF). Design and setting: The NHF Research Evaluation Working Group was established in 2002 to oversee evaluation funding data collected over a 5-year period. included bibliometric analysis conducted by Policy Project at Australian University. Outcome measures: Level leverage funding; levels across disciplines biomedical, clinical, public health research; visibility knowledge impact NHF-supported international cardiovascular journals. Results: NHF's increased 27% from 2001 2005. This increase resulted leveraged support for fellowships scholarships $1.5 million this period, $2.2 pharmaceutical industry. NHF-funded publications were found high journals above world averages, but received fewer citations than expected based on citation rates all similar articles.
