摘要: Thermal instability in a horizontal Newtonian liquid layer with rigid boundaries is investigated the presence of vertical quasiperiodic forcing having two incommensurate frequencies 1 and 2. By means Galerkin projection truncated to first order, governing linear system corresponding onset convection reduced damped Mathieu equation. The threshold solutions determined cases heating from below above. We show that modulation has stabilizing or destabilizing effect depending on ratio =2 /1. Prandtl number zone also examined for different frequency ratios.
