摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate an aspheric ablation profile to improve near vision in presbyopic patients with hyperopia and outline the key factors of success. METHODS A prospective, nonrandomized, clinical trial 66 eyes 33 hyperopic who underwent customized bilateral refractive surgery, which included presbyopia treatment shape wavefront-driven treatment, was studied. Surgeries were performed using VISX STAR S4 or IR excimer laser system (Abbott Medical Optics). Mean preoperative error +1.77 ± 0.56 diopters (D) sphere (range: 0.75 3.50 D) 0.41 0.34 D cylinder 0.00 1.50 D). All received full distance correction. No monovision intentionally left residual myopia. Patient satisfaction results evaluated a questionnaire 5-point scale. RESULTS Sixty completed 6-month 50 12-month postoperative follow-up. At 6 months, mean corrected visual acuity (CDVA) 20/20±1 line 20/25 20/10). gain distance-corrected (DCNVA) 2.7 1.7 lines maximum near. Spectacle dependence for tasks, such as reading computer use, reduced. 12 100% had achieved binocular simultaneous uncorrected better J3. Refraction stable over months. Contrast sensitivity reduction clinically insignificant (1 step 0.15 logCS). Negative spherical aberration highly correlated improvement DCNVA. Patients larger amount greater decrease DCNVA more likely have overall satisfaction. CONCLUSIONS The designed expand functional effective wavefront-customized significantly reduced spectacle dependence.
