摘要: Persons with parkinsonism (PD) are known to have difficulty both rapid force production and declination, may not be able adjust levels during bimanual tasks in the upper extremity. We proposed that these deficits might underlie problems experienced by those PD when attempting rapidly terminate locomotor activity. Rapid gait termination requires concomitant increases braking impulse decreases propulsion impulse. hypothesized would less modulate muscle activity associated termination. Muscular of soleus, tibialis anterior gluteus medius, were compared between a group subjects age gender matched control subjects. Subjects had similar patterns muscular activation although at dramatically reduced amplitude. Consequently, unable generate sufficient net under time-critical conditions.
