摘要: While the initiation of gait has been well studied, mechanisms stopping forward progression center mass have received less attention. The purpose this current experiment was to examine effects constraining cadence on how body is brought a stop. Lower limb electromyogram (gluteus medius, hamstrings and soleus (SOL)) force plate data were compared between two conditions, walking planned stopping, at three different cadences (100, 125 150% normal cadence). As increased, onset muscle activity prior heel-strike decreased for all muscles except SOL.
