Renewable energy technologies for irrigation water pumping in India: A preliminary attempt towards potential estimation

摘要: Simple frameworks have been developed for estimating the utilization potential of: (a) solar photovoltaic (SPV) pumps; (b) windmill (c) producer gas based dual fuel engine and (d) biogas pumps irrigation water pumping in India. The approach takes into account factors such as: radiation intensity, wind speed, availability of bovine dung agri-residues, their alternative uses, ground requirements its availability, affordability, propensity users to invest renewable energy devices, etc. SPV are estimated maximum India, followed by pumps.
