摘要: Abstract Lanthanide (Ln3+) doped TiO2 down-conversion photoelectrodes (Ln3+ = Eu3+ and Sm3+ ions) are used to enhance the photovoltaic efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). We report on achieving fill factors 0.67 0.69 efficiencies 5.81% 5.16% for Eu3+, respectively. This is compared 4.23% undoped-titania photoelectrodes. enhancement probably due improved UV radiation harvesting via a luminescence process by lanthanide ions. The structure, optical photoluminescence properties down-converting photoelectrode characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive (EDX) room temperature excitation emission spectrofluorimetric measurements.
