摘要: Abstract In this paper, TiO 2 :Sm 3+ (0.75 mol%) nanoparticles doped with different amounts of Br − were prepared by an improved sol–gel method and characterized means X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), VG ESCALAB MKIIX-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV–vis DRS). Their photoluminescence (PL) properties investigated at room temperature. The emissions 4 G 5/2 – 6 H J ( =5/2, 7/2, 9/2) transitions Sm ions observed under the excitation wavelength 350 nm emission intensity depended strongly on doping amount . 1 mol% calcined 700 °C exhibit highest luminescence, which is nearly three times than undoped one. mechanism in co-doped system was discussed.
