摘要: Abstract We employed a sol-gel route to prepare 1% samarium-doped TiO 2 nanopowders. Time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) and Raman characterization was performed. After thermal treatment the powder crystallized in an anatase phase revealed intense Sm 3+ photoluminescence. The emission spectrum of exposed well-resolved crystal-field splitting enabling monitoring changes local environment. thoroughly investigated influence annealing (in air) on intensity. Annealing up 800  ∘ C led systematic enhancement emission. at higher temperatures, however, marked weakening simultaneous appearance band near 830 nm. temperatures as high 1000  were needed induce transition from rutile. It possible use structural probe revealinge peculiarities transition.
