摘要: The effectiveness of marker-based selection (MBS) for enhancing the efficiency two conventional breeding methods self-fertilizing crop plants, i.e., generation-accelerated bulk (GAB) and doubled haploid (DHB), is evaluated. When incorporated into GAB, MBS assumed to be applied in F2 F3 generations based on DNA markers that are linked with desirable trait genes. evaluated its contribution increasing probability obtaining desired genotype. Our calculations show depends number genes involved objective as well available markers; will produce a great increase when more than about 12 several or these In such case, useful even few 100 plants tested generations, compared GAB which 2000 grown generation acceleration. increases presence repulsion linkage between genes, whereas it decreases coupling linkage. Although codominant superior under most practically possible conditions, dominant (linked genes) could relatively few, roughly fewer 12, prevalently phase. markers, important widen range marker genotypes selected; not only best but also second third best, partially heterozygous should selected. Linkage needs perfect; many available, advantage lost map distance long 10 cM. phase, effectively combined DHB eliminating unpromising prior field test, selecting from an population, treated haploidization.
