摘要: Molecular genetics can be integrated with traditional methods of artificial selection on phenotypes by applying marker-assisted (MAS). We derive indices that maximize the rate improvement in quantitative characters under different schemes MAS combining information molecular genetic polymorphisms (marker loci) data phenotypic variation among individuals (and their relatives). also analyze statistical limitations efficiency MAS, including detectability associations between marker loci and trait loci, sampling errors estimating weighting coefficients index.
