摘要: Abstract This study presents a structural interpretation of potential field data at the southern segment Spanish Central Iberian Zone, where little is known about its geometry and physical properties in depth. We used ground gravity aeromagnetic from Geological Survey (IGME) databases, together with survey recently acquired along Alcudia deep seismic reflection profile, also petrophysical rock samples, part specifically for this work. The aim to characterize fields depth structure complex area, focusing on features upper crust can provide useful insight, as these appear be transparent images surveys carried up date. After building 2.5 D model magnetic susceptibility density distribution whole constraints transect, relationships between lower crustal structures better established, surface geophysical maps allow estimating lateral extensions main characterized by modelling. Interpreted consist of: 1) long-wavelength anomalies due changes thickness structure, identified profile; some boundaries Moho have been slightly modified fit observed data; and, 2) short wavelength related large NW–SE faults folds, plutonic alignments. Northern segments show relevant lower-middle shortening underneath extensive Variscan plutons (Mora, Pedroches) folded basins (Pedroches). Potential imaging modelling provided understanding subsurface geology, particularly non-reflective areas, unravelling Zone.
