摘要: Abstract A murine hybridoma has been obtained that produces a monoclonal antibody against the human transferrin receptor. In contrast to previously characterized antibodies recognize receptor, this antibody, designated 42/6, blocks binding of its receptor and inhibits growth T leukemic cell line, CCRF-CEM, in vitro. Inhibition was dose dependent, as little 2.5 micrograms purified per ml had detectable effect, even though present tissue culture medium large molar excess. Cells grown presence for 7 days accumulated S phase cycle. The addition iron antibody-treated cultures form ferric complexes or ferrous sulfate did not overcome inhibitory effects anti-transferrin-receptor antibodies. This result suggests either is only means by which CCRF-CEM cells can be provided with sufficient vitro other factors starvation are involved antibody-mediated inhibition. inhibition 42/6 proliferation-associated surface antigens, such may useful pharmacological reagents modify
