摘要: Abstract The seeds of Acacia leucophloea (Roxb.) Willd. were analysed for their proximate composition, minerals, protein fractions, seed amino acid profiles, fatty composition lipids and antinutritional substances. Crude value was 26·5 g 100 g−1 DM. other major nutrient contents (g g−1) crude lipid, 5·13; fibre, 6·78; ash, 4·12 total carbohydrates, 57·5. a rich source minerals such as Ca, Mg, P, Fe Mn. predominant fractions globulins albumins. essential acids, cystine, methionine, tyrosine phenylalanine, low threonine, valine, isoleucine lysine fairly high when compared with the FAO/WHO/UNO recommended pattern. contained amounts unsaturated acids in which linoleic (51·1%) acid. Antinutritional substances, free phenols, tannins, L-DOPA haemagglutinating activity, also analysed.
