摘要: Abstract Purpose: We reviewed our experience with pedal branch artery (PBA) bypass to confirm the role of these target arteries for limb salvage and identify patient technical factors that may be associated graft patency salvage. Methods: In this retrospective study we analyzed 24 vein grafts PBAs performed from 1988 1998 in 23 patients who had no suitable tibial, peroneal, or dorsal arteries. These PBA were compared 133 perimalleolar posterior defined at below ankle, dorsalis pedis contemporaneously; Kaplan-Meier life table was used analysis Life analyses logistic regression prognostic variables also performed. Results: The represented 3% infrainguinal revascularizations chronic critical ischemia institution over period. Patients received bypasses more likely male (92% vs 69%, P =.02) lower incidences overt coronary disease (33% 50%, =.12) stroke (0% 15%, =.04), a higher incidence end-stage renal (21% 8%, =.06) than those undergoing bypass. Seventeen percent anterior lateral malleolar artery, vessel not previously described as common target. Two-year primary versus 70% 80% ( =.16) 78% 91% =.28), respectively. Patency rates different above-knee below-knee inflow Conclusion: An autogenous PBA, though rarely required, provides acceptable when tibial suitable, proximal are available. should considered before major amputation is undertaken.
