摘要: To assess the interaction between spatial and procedural memory systems, authors developed a learning protocol in water maze using rising "Atlantis" platform that requires rats to learn swim specific location and, once there, "dwelling" response raise platform. In this protocol, effects of temporal inactivation dorsal hippocampus with AMPA/kainate receptor antagonist LY326325 on different phases were investigated. Hippocampal impaired acquisition searching task, mainly because disruption learning. Inactivation also impeded consolidation retrieval information, while leaving expression dwelling responses intact. These findings challenge idea sharp demarcation respect hippocampal involvement.
