Assessing relative health plan risk with the RAND-36 health survey.

摘要: Unbiased risk assessment models base health plan payments on enrollee care needs. We explored the structure of employed adult maintenance organization (HMO) members using RAND-36 survey. used multivariate techniques to estimate weights demographic and status factors. The dependent variable was annual real total expense for covered services year following Repeated random-split-sample validation minimized outlier influences. Five scales improved prediction over simple factors, but factors still were required achieve unbiased forecasts. Self-reported is a useful powerful measure adults.
