摘要: The hypothalamus integrates endogenous and exogenous inputs to control the pituitary-gonadal axis. ultimate hypothalamic influence on reproductive activity is mediated through timely secretion of GnRH in portal blood, which modulates release gonadotropins from pituitary. In this context neurons expressing RF-amide neuropeptide kisspeptin present required features fulfill role long sought-after integrative centre governing stimulation neurons. Here we focus intracellular signaling pathways triggered by its cognate receptor KISS1R potential proteins interacting with receptor. We then review evidence implicating both RFRP3--another neuropeptide--in temporal orchestration pre-ovulatory LH surge female rodents organization seasonal breeding photoperiodic species.
