摘要: We present new optical (BVI) time-series data for the evolved variable stars in Carina dwarf spheroidal galaxy. The quality of and observing strategy allowed us to identify 14 stars. Eight out are RR Lyrae (RRL) stars, four Anomalous Cepheids (ACs) two geometrical variables. Comparison period distribution entire sample RRLs with similar distributions nearby dSphs Large Magellanic Cloud indicates that old stellar populations these systems share properties. This finding is also supported by RRL Bailey diagram. On other hand, diagram ACs display significant differences among above systems. evidence suggests properties intermediate-age might be affected both environmental effects structural parameters. use BV Period--Wesenheit (PW) relation together evolutionary prescriptions find a true distance modulus 20.09+/-0.07(intrinsic)+/-0.1(statistical) mag agrees quite well estimates available literature. identified peculiar Taking into account their position PW relation, them (V14, V149) appear candidate ACs, while (V158, V182) RRLs. In particular, V158 has V-band amplitude very low-mass ---RRLR-02792---recently Pietrzynski at al. (2012) Galactic bulge.
