摘要: Since behavioural adjustments are an important line of defence against thermal stress, either due to their energy efficiency or at preventing overheating, we aimed evaluate whether broilers fed different maize particle sizes adjusted behaviour deal with heat stress challenges. At several times a day, the 220 naked neck was evaluated. These were isonutritive diets containing geometric mean diameters (GMD): 605 and 2280 μm. The environment monitored during experiment. Panting open wings only behaviours that showed differences between day (P < 0.05). However, GMD significant effect on feed intake panting interaction time Although no daily variation observed, highest observed in diet Less than 5% drinking water day. Open adjustment most used by from 10:00 h, remained elevated until 14:00 h for both GMDs. birds panted more when In conclusion, adjust dissipate excess body as result intake. Coarse particles increase challenge since also provides stressful conditions.
