摘要: There is evidence that premorbid adjustment can differentiate schizophrenia from schizoaffective disorder. We recruited 41 patients with and 24 disorder without substance abuse 6 months before the assessment. Diagnoses were based on Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV. Psychotic symptoms rated Positive Negative Syndrome Scale, Calgary Depression Scale was used to assess depressive symptoms, Global Assessment of Functioning rate global psychosocial functioning. Premorbid evaluated Adjustment Scale. Patients showed worse compared The areas "peer relationships" "scholastic performance" deficits in schizophrenia. Significant associations found between life periods symptom severity both groups. Differences groups may be related an earlier illness onset schizophrenic group. a useful clinical feature
