摘要: Multiple studies have shown the importance of transition metals for microorganisms involved in anaerobic digestion. Deficiencies can translate into suboptimal digester performances and therefore where present an opportunity to stimulate digestion exists. Previous supplementation that used EDTA complexed conflicting results. Assays supplemented with cobalt-EDTA on its own consistently responded a level equal or higher than from assays combination metals. The results seemingly indicate cobalt was most commonly deficient metal sludge digesters. However this study has raised questions about bioavailability other as chelates, particularly nickel-EDTA. Differing levels different complex explain how exist. Metal deficiencies were 69% time wastewater digesters samples. Given metal-EDTA chelates prevalence likely been higher. At site specific it found lower expected Vmax given sites acetoclastic methanogen population corresponded positive response act indicator requirement.
