摘要: Trace nutrients (metals) supplementation has been demonstrated to have a beneficial effect on the welfare of anaerobic digesters but there was lack information chemistry controlling their fate. The aim this research determine reactions governing chemical behaviour metals in anaerobically digested sludge and predict fate those when supplemented as MeEDTA. After assessment wide range analytical techniques, suite suitable techniques1 were used two case studies supplementation: iron dosing MeEDTA supplementation. controlled by solid phase throughout primary reaction (sulphide precipitation) secondary (phosphate precipitation, adsorption organic complexation). competition between strength metal's binding EDTA complexation digesters. Transfer CoEDTA found be divided into reactions, where second slow kinetic depending availability counter-ion reacting with EDTA. A key conclusion that presence weaker metal-bound compounds mixed strong sulphide precipitates changed understanding speciation, especially concerning potential consequently trace nutrients.
