摘要: INTRODUCTION Maintaining oral health is vital for every individual's quality of life. Little consideration, however, has been given to the patients approaching end-of-life, perhaps due sensitivities over research ethics. The aim this rapid review synthesize existing evidence on in population. METHODS AND RESULTS A literature was conducted using key words: "Oral/Dental Health" "End-of-life" or "Palliative care" patients. Nineteen articles met inclusion criteria: five retrospective cohort studies, ten cross sectional two experimental one systematic review, and audit. Quality medium low. prevalence oral/dental conditions high end-of-life population, as were self-reported symptoms, poor OHRQOL. Staff placed value but identified several barriers providing both routine daily professional dental care. Professional care beneficial relieving palliative specific guidance/training CONCLUSION There a paucity relation at end-of-life. suggests that related life are support population needed.
