摘要: Objectives: To examine dental caries severity (measured by number of carious teeth) in older adults the last year life. Design: Cross-sectional study based on records. Setting: Community-based geriatric clinic. Participants: One thousand two hundred sixteen individuals aged 65 and older, including 168 life (e.g., died within 1 after their new-patient examinations). Measurements: Information socioeconomic, medical history, medication, functional status, oral health measures, teeth, was abstracted from records. End-of-life status determined using National Death Index. Propensities death were calculated a logistic regression then adjusted together with mobility care function multivariable model to effect end-of-life caries. Results: Caries differed participants different function. Of those needing help care, had only slightly higher nonstatistically significant risk (7.5 vs 6.1, incidence density ratio (IDR) = 1.12, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.851.48) having more teeth than not life. On other hand, lower without impaired (IDR 0.53, CI 0.300.92). Conclusion: Oral modifies association between status. Individuals who could maintain hygiene independently low level at end life, however, increased before functionally dependent entered
