摘要: On the basis of previous epidemiologic studies, Parkinson disease was thought to be evenly distributed throughout world. These however, were conducted only on North European populations. The position with regard Mediterranean peoples still unknown, and we therefore studied frequency island Sardinia, where some ethnic groups stock are represented. Based 967 accepted cases, prevalence 100,000 population January 1, 1972, 65.6; average annual incidence for period 1961 through 1971 4.9. figures one-half established Europeans. Our findings suggest racial differences in predisposition disease. Some Negroid features present Sardinians. If, as seems likely, Africans prove relatively unsusceptible disease, risk Sardinians other might intermediate between Europeans Africans.
