摘要: All optometrists registered and practising in Leicestershire were surveyed to find out what facilities they have for glaucoma screening, how patients are selected tests performed, the criteria used referring hospital ophthalmic service. respondents examine optic disc of all patients: 99% tonometry available, but most use it selectively, on basis age, family history appearance. Although 88% field testing apparatus, this is usually not a type likely be effective screening general population: 38% automated or semiautomated perimetry. The criterion level IOP at which 80% would refer was 27 mm Hg absence cupping, falling 24 if cupping suspected. Over any patient with defect irrespective IOP.
