摘要: Blood pressure (BP) is more salt sensitive in men than premenopausal women. In Dahl salt-sensitive rats (DS), high-salt (HS) diet increases BP males females. contrast to the systemic renin-angiotensin system, which suppressed response HS male DS, intrarenal angiotensinogen expression increased, and levels of ANG II are not suppressed. this study, hypothesis was tested that there a sexual dimorphism HS-induced upregulation mediated by testosterone also causes renal injury. On low-salt (LS) diet, DS had higher mRNA for 4 wk increased cortical protein only prevented castration. Ovariectomy female no effect on either diet. Radiotelemetric similar between castrated LS caused progressive increase BP, albumin excretion, glomerular sclerosis rats, were attenuated Testosterone replacement injury, associated with contributes development hypertension injury possibly through system.
