摘要: Abstract Resonance parameters for neutron energies from 3 eV to 200 and average capture cross sections up 20 keV have been measured the separated isotopes 155 Gd 157 with time-of-flight techniques a large liquid scintillator. In addition, section of natural gadolinium was 1 750 keV. The s-wave strength functions obtained are 2.17 +0.30 −0.14 ×10 −4 Gd. 2.9 +0.9 −0.5 Gd, these values significantly higher than those predicted collective-model generalisation optical model. total radiation widths resolved resonances found much larger variance that by statistical model, provided assumed be spin-independent. at is also deviate conventional statistical-model predictions.
