摘要: Abstract A personal-interview survey was conducted to determine the frequency of and reasons for chemotherapeutic treatments on Ontario trout farms during 1990. Sixty-two farmers, producing 91 % Ontario's farmed trout, participated in survey. Farmers had most often received advice from other farmers. The number treatment regimes administered a production cycle ranged zero (5% farms) more than nine; median user 2.3 regimes. Chloramine-T formalin were commonly used chemicals (they 66 53% farms, respectively). Preventive accounted 67% all regime initiations; initial therapeutic treatments, primarily gill diseases, 22% repeat 11%. At least some 2-10-cm fish treated farms.
