摘要: A portable microcomputer-assisted flow transducer was developed for analysing puff parameters during smoking of low- and medium-tar cigarettes. Smoke determined by measuring pressure difference between two sites within an orifice flowmeter. According to the Bernoulli equation, is proportional square flow. For calibration method, various sizes air volumes were puffed through flowmeter a piston syringe. The curve, which consisted as function root difference, linear (r = 0.98). automatic microcomputer analysis consists following variables: mean volume inhaled smoke gas, duration, time interval puffs, number puffs total inhaled. Eight volunteers smoked 10 cigarettes cross-over experiments. investigation indicated that inhalation smokers in case low-tar twice large
