摘要: A new interpolation method called discrete smooth was used to construct a 3-D model of an activated sludge floc from digitized microtome sections. This comprises several advantages: rapidity, almost completely automated, precision, high quality representation, and, most importantly, availability specific tools manipulate the model. Some parameters such as size, surface area, and volume were directly measured on reconstructed object. The contour are fractal with dimensions 1.4 2.4, respectively. Local curvatures also calculated show great deformations due anisotropic growth within floc. Discrete constitutes powerful tool improve understanding structure complexity.
