摘要: Abstract The success of many industrial processes largely depends on the structural characteristics aggregates. In intensive aerobic digestion process for wastewater treatment applications, namely aggregate shape, size and therefore surface area strongly influence transfer dissolved oxygen from aeration to aggregates harmful contaminants/microorganisms. aim this study was apply Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) techniques aggregation suspended particles (microorganisms) quantify available convection diffusion as a function number concentration charge. simulation inputs included particle fluid such density, solid concentration, suspension pH ionic strength. A post processing method based Go-chess concept developed structure. results showed that whilst an increase in connection points increases total aggregate, does not necessarily translate into combinations open close pores are formed. Aggregate directly determined by characteristics, increased rapidly when coordination below 3.5 fractal dimension less than 1.5. correlation prediction external also proposed terms number.
